Soldier Field Cycling Series
07/01/2009 | 4:00 PM Cycling Series - Various Dates 6/17, 7/1, 7/15, 7/29, 8/12, 8/26 www.soldierfieldcycling.com The Soldier Field Cycling Series is a developmental cycling series consisting of six criterium style bicycle races. The goal of the SFCS is to showcase the cyclists of tomorrow, grow the sport and expose it to new eyes.
This competitive bike race series will take place on alternating Wednesdays during June through August in the beautiful and scenic City of Chicago.
Time: 4:00p.m. to 9:30p.m.
Dates: June 17, July 1, July 15, July 29, August 12, & August 26
Pre-Registration Entry Fee is $20 per race
Pre-Registration for entire series is only $100 - SAVE $20!
Day of Registration is $30
One Day License is additional $10

Our World Class venue offers participants the opportunity to race on Chicago’s Lakefront and in the shadow of it’s magnificent skyline. The Soldier Field Cycling Series will provide spectators with convenient access to America’s most popular style of bicycle racing, the criterium. In addition to the races, we will have FREE live entertainment, family activities, an open-air bicycle swap, food vendors and bicycle related seminars.

Ale Fest

Designated driver/non-drinker $10-must be 21. Admission includes a bottle of water and an AleFest sampling glass as you exit.

Soldier Field's Cornhole Classic Tournament

Building on 2008’s electrifying event with over 600 participants and approximately 1,500 people in attendance, it promises to be another exciting day with serious and social “throwers” from around Illinois and beyond.
Participants will compete for $4,000 in cash prizes, along with other special awards. Spectators will enjoy music, delicious food and a festive atmosphere at this one day event.
Admission Fees: (Limited event-day registration will be available)
Competitive Singles Division - $40
Social Singles Division - $25
Competitive Doubles Division - $90/team
Social Doubles Division - $50/team.

2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup Semi Finals

| 4:00 PM International Soccer www.concacaf.com/view_article.aspx?id=4657 The 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup will be played in a record 13 different U.S. cities, opening at The Home Depot Center in Los Angeles on Friday, July 3 and concluding with the championship match Sunday, July 26 at Giants Stadium outside New York. Soldier Field will host the Semifinals of this prestigous tournament held every other year. Tickets are not on sale as of yet.

HIgh School Kickoff Classic

| 4:00 PM High School Football - 3 Games www.soldierfield.net The High School Kick-off Classic Football Committee with the cooperation of Soldier Field and the Chicago Park District will present a high school football “Friday Night Lights” extravaganza on Friday, August 28 at Soldier Field.
This year’s contests will feature 2008 Chicago Prep Bowl Finalist, and IHSA Playoff participant State Class 8A Chicago Lane Tech High School led by national recruited Offensive lineman Laken Tomlinson and linebacker Louis Trinca-Pasat against Chicago Catholic League Blue 2008 Prep Bowl Semi-finalist Chicago De LaSalle in the first game starting at 2:30pm. Chicago Public League power Chicago Simeon, with nationally touted offensive lineman Fabbian Ebelle will take on Chicago Catholic League power Mt. Carmel, a state class 8A semi-finalists with nationally recruited running back Milton Greer at 5:15 pm. Chicago Public League Pre-Season Favorite Morgan Park led by one of the nations top high school prospects Daron Brown will take on Chicago Catholic League powerhouse Brother Rice, a IHSA 2008 Class 8a quarterfinalist, lead by their nationally recruited offensive lineman, Andy Galikin the final match up of the evening at 8:00 pm. This years contests will be sure to feature recruiters from across the nation because of the number of Division 1 recruits participating in this years contest.
Tickets can be purchased on the day of the event at the stadium - $5 for students and $10 for adults GA seating.
