NIU Huskies vs. Wisconsin Badgers

The Northern Illinois Huskies will host the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday, September 17, 2011 in the Soldier Field Showdown II. The Huskies are coming off their best season ever with 11-3 record and a win over Fresno State in the Humanitarian Bowl while the Badgers finished 11-2 and earned a trip to the Rose Bowl where they lost to TCU. Dave Doeren was the defensive coordinator for the Badgers in that game and is now the new head football coach for the Huskies. It is sure to be an exciting game between two great teams. The parking lots will open 4 hours prior to kick-off (10:30am) for tailgaters. You can reserve your parking spot early by pre-purchasing a parking spot at http://soldierfield.clickandpark.com/apps/events?m=detail&event_id=17596. All are welcome to come out to the Bud Light Beergarden located outside Gate 3 on the South end of the stadium beginning at 11:00am. The Bud Light mobile bar will be here showing early college game day action on the big screen TV's, live music featuring the South Side Hit Men and all the traditional food and beverage will be served.
