Hunger Walk

More Information: For 24 years this annual event has been a grassroots benefit for the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s member agencies. Currently serving 678,000 men, women and children across Chicagoland, the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s 600 member soup kitchens, pantries, and shelters raise money to support their communities. The walkers, whose numbers have grown over 24 years to over 6,000, helped to raise more than $500,000 last year by soliciting donations on their behalf. This 3.0 mile walk takes place along the lakefront this year starting at Soldier Field and concluding with live entertainment. As we commemorate our 25th Anniversary of the event, this year’s celebration of the Hunger Walk is sure to once again raise the funds for our member agencies to allow them to distribute the much needed food into our community. Event registration will be available beginning at 8am on the day of the event. The walk will begin at 9:30am from the Stadium Green.
